  1. Paste or type your list, one item per line or separated by commas.
  2. The list on the right sorts itself by aisle as you type.
  3. Tap items to check them off in the store. Your progress is saved in this browser.
  4. Use Copy to send it to someone, or Print for a paper list.

The aisles it sorts into

Build the list from your meal plan

The fastest grocery lists start from a plan: pick the week's dinners, add each recipe's ingredients, and cross off what's already in your kitchen. Our guide to meal planning for the week walks through it. In the MealMint app, adding a meal plan to your list combines matching ingredients from every recipe automatically.

Frequently asked questions

How does the grocery list organizer know which aisle an item is in?

It matches each item against about a thousand common grocery ingredients, each assigned to a store section. Amounts and words like 'fresh' or 'large' are ignored, so '2 lbs chicken thighs' lands in Meat & Seafood. Anything it doesn't recognize goes under Other.

Is my grocery list saved?

Your list and the items you've checked off are saved in this browser only, so they're still there when you open the page in the store. Nothing is sent to MealMint. Clearing your browser data removes it.

Does it combine duplicate items?

Yes. Repeats are merged into one line, and amounts are added when they use the same unit, so '2 onions' and '1 onion' become '3 onions'.

What order are the aisles in?

Roughly the order most supermarkets are laid out: produce and bakery first, then meat, dairy and the center aisles, with frozen food near the end so it stays cold on the way home.
